General principle[edit]
All the information, help pages as well as legal notices will be on the Main Page of the Terminology MediaWiki. The translations will be on the US-Terms Page or the EU-Terms Page respectively.
Internal/Interwiki links[edit]
If you want to link to a page within the EU-Terms or US-Terms wiki you can use: x (x is the page name). With y you can change how the link is displayed. For example at the top of this page <- Back to help links to help.
If you want link to another wiki you can use interwiki links: :uswiki:Main Page will link to the US-Terms Page. You can replace Main Page with any other site on the US-Terms wiki. The same applies for the EU-Terms wiki: :euwiki:x and the Main(Meta) wiki: :metawiki:x. You can also use the formulation y.
Translation (show in another language)[edit]
If you want to link a US term to its EU translation, you can use euwiki:x. Leaving out the column prior euwiki out, the link will not appear in the text but on the left-hand bar "in other language". In general this is how translations in the Terminology MediaWiki work. You only can aad one translation per language. For e.g. you cannot add two translations to an US-term. If there are two translations you need to link the second one in the text.
Formatting[edit]
With x (using two checkmarks before and after an expression) you can write in italics and with x (using three checkmarks before and after an expression) you can write in bold.
To make bullet points you can use *:
- Point 1...
- Point 2...
With # you can create an enumeration:
- Point 1...
- Point 2...
Wrong Page Name[edit]
In the Terminology MediaWiki, the page name should be the same as the term. The page name is the same as in the link (Interwikilink); you can see it above the term. If you find a typo such as Garnt instead of Grant, a singular/plural issue, an acronym instead of the full term or any other issue, you should move the page. You will find the move menu under "more". The new page name is the same as the term. If you move a page, an automatic redirect will be set to the new page. An intertwining will guide you automatically to the new page.
Redirects[edit]
With #REDIRECTx you can create an automatic redirect to another page. This will be used to link shortcuts; e.g if you search in the US-Terms wiki for NOGA you will be redirected to uswiki:Notice of Grant Agreement. The page NOGA will have to exist as you need to place the redirect there.
Under Construction[edit]
If you would like to indicate that an individual term is not yet finalized, you can indicate this as follows for up to three working days.
