DSP: A sub-increment is a piece of a funding increment that is reserved for a specific sub-investigator. A funding increment may be broken up into several sub-increments, each belonging to a specific sub-investigator. Any PI or co-investigator that receives a sub-increment is also known as a sub-investigator.
