OSP: Portion of a faculty or staff member's salary that exceeds a regulatory maximum imposed by the sponsor. Over-the-cap cost sharing must be included in the direct cost base for indirect cost calculations, and it cannot be used to meet cost-sharing commitments on sponsored programs.
