DSP: Mandatory cost sharing is cost sharing that is required by a sponsor as a condition for making an award. It generally requires the university to contribute a certain overall percentage of project costs.

BSU: Cost Sharing or matching that is required by the sponsor, is stipulated in the notice of award or agreement, which must be documented and reported to the sponsoring agency.
