OSP: The legal mechanism by which one party can obtain the right to use someone else's patent or copyright, usually by paying licensing fees.  At Harvard these fees are primarily returned to the inventor and the inventor's department and school, with the University keeping a smaller portion, according to the University's royalty sharing policy.

Cal: A License is a document issued by the U.S. government which permits the Export, or temporary import, of specified Defense Articles or Technical Data or the rendering of Defense Services controlled under U.S. Export laws and regulations.
