NHLBI: assurance of compliance accepted and approved by OHRP for institutions engaged in human subjects research conducted or supported by HHS. Under an FWA, an institution commits to HHS that it will comply with the requirements set forth in 45 CFR part 46.

OSP: The University’s agreement with the Department of Health and Human Services (“DHHS”) regarding our obligations to review and approve the use of human subjects in research. The University has three FWAs, one for the Medical and Dental Schools, one for the School of Public Health, and one for the other schools on the Cambridge and Allston campuses (the “University Area”).
