DSP: Federal pass-through funds are funds from a federal sponsor that come to the University of Iowa through a third party. For example, if the National Institutes of Health give the University of Wisconsin a grant and the University of Wisconsin subcontracts some of the work involved in that grant out to the University of Iowa, the funds in that subcontract are federal pass-through funds.
