DSP: The Departmental Executive Officer is responsible for assuring that costs incurred under sponsored projects conducted within their department comply with sponsor and University of Iowa policies and are within the resources available to project directors. If project overexpenditures occur, the DEO is responsible for covering those overexpenditures from other departmental resources.
