Allowable costs

Costs that are chargeable to an award in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and cost principles. Pursuant to Uniform Guidance, allowable costs under a U.S. Federal award must be reasonable, allocable to the particular sponsored project, given consistent treatment across the recipient institution's sponsored activities, and compliant with any limitations or exclusions set forth in applicable U.S. Federal regulations and the particular award's terms and conditions.
