UIC-A Report of the AVMA Panel on Euthanasia (2000) - Veterinary report of humane methods of euthanasia for animals used in research and teaching activities. Humane euthanasia techniques produce a rapid loss of consciousness followed by cardiac or respiratory arrest with an ultimate loss of brain function. The AVMA Report is endorsed by USDA Animal Welfare Regulations and PHS Policy.
