Gender Action Plan

Proposals for Integrated Projects and Networks of Excellence have to comprise a gender action plan indicating actions and activities that will be developed to promote the role of women as participants in the project. The action plan is a set of measures chosen by the contractor, according to its analysis of what is appropriate in the frame of the project, and on the basis of its comprehension of the gender issue in science. The action plan can include measures such as (examples only, other measures welcome): taking special action to bring more women into the project, linking with networks of women scientists in the field of the project, hiring gender experts to review/audit/monitor the gender dimension of the project, organising a seminar/conference/workshop to raise awareness about the need to increase gender equality in the field of the project, conduct surveys/analysis,
