Was one of the specific programmes under the Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme 2007-2013 (CIP). EIP had the objective to support enterprises (particularly SMEs), entrepreneurship, innovation (e.g. eco-innovation), and promote industrial competitiveness within the EU.
